Megacharger Cabinet and Posts
Tesla's next generation Megacharger Post is designed to deliver best-in-class performance, user experience, and aesthetics. The Megacharger Post brings Tesla's global leadership in EV charging infrastructure deployment to more use cases by enabling support for the Megawatt Charging Standard.
The Tesla Megacharger Cabinet provides AC/DC power conversion as part of the Megacharger system when deployed with the Megacharger Post. The advanced system architecture includes highly optimized state of the art power electronics, efficient conversion, and enables powersharing for up to 2 Megacharger Posts.
Each Megacharger system includes hardware to support the post and cabinet. Specifically, proprietary communication cable, credit card reader (where needed), site controller (where needed), and connectivity infrastructure.
Tesla's 120 kW Basecharger is designed to deliver best-in-class performance, user experience, and aesthetics. The Basecharger brings Tesla's global leadership in EV charging infrastructure deployment to more use cases with a lower power DC charger optimized for longer dwell times and overnight charging, improving operational efficiency. Importantly, this standalone DC charger features a fully integrated design, eliminating the need for a separate cabinet to convert AC to DC, which simplifies installation. The Basecharger with a 6 m cable reach delivers layout flexibility and industry leading ergonomics.
